havent read this in awhile but don't care, I'm posting this anyhow. any flaming won't bother as I'm just posting my finds.
Being as the 3ds practically destroys any of its files with encryption on it's SD, and there is no software to piece this information together(if there is,beg my pardon)
I've stumbled upon the dsiware files on my 3ds while pulling files trying to figure out where each location of data is stored, and this led to my theory.
assuming dsi information has been pretty well exploited over the last few years, the idea would be to recreate a dsiware game and encrypt it to break the 3ds code, as in, recreate the titled copied off the 3ds memory, destroy everything except the loading sequence( trial and error) and then copy it back on to the 3ds memory, and in this process the procedure needs to be sure that it doesn't break the readable state that the 3ds can see and pull the data from. somewhere in this concept feels like a generically good idea, but I don't have the software or knowledge of the dsi homebrew system or hacking capibilities. I figured this would be a better exploit than the standard dsi card that only runs in ds mode while this theory would copy itself into the system.
This idea could be shot down in flames, but I figured it needed to be out there, I only stumbled upon this when I realized that if we had a screen capture mode on the 3ds then in loz oot we could use the gyro L-target camera to take some amazing snapshots of the internal game, and so I decided to play around with it.
I use the site often, but this is my first post considering the general idea seemed more leading than just locking the system up by accident.
