Today The Pokemon Company have announced that Pokemon fighting game, Pokkén Tournament is coming to the West for the WiiU in 2016.

With no Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter on Wii U, this could be the only alternative to Super Smash Bros. I can't comment on Injustice, I never played it, though it looks nice.

Well, let's see with positive thinking:

2016 games
- Pokkén Tournament
- Zelda (maybe)
- Shin Megami X Tensei

Eeesh.. really hope it's not only three or four games (there'll probably be the yearly Just Dance and Skylanders but meh that's not the games most would want to play).

This game comes to stay for a long time in next generations, hope GameFreak take the idea to do introduce this kind of game to the main series, like trading our PKMN from XY/ORAS and fight :3 that would be really awesome, maybe they are testing if it works in the market, like the first PKMN Stadium released on Japan and then they made a complete game (with 700+ PKMN) on it :3

Looks like a button mashing version of Pokemon Stadium.

It's just Tekken with Pokemon characters. If you think Tekken is button mashing, then I suppose this is as well. You could also try to learn to play fighting games properly, though. Simply mashing buttons may get you past the AI occasionally, but you're not really playing the game at that point.

At a high level, the "PRS" format has a nice technical touch.
