Hello there! In first place, congratulations for all the work here! Really appreciated!
I don't know if anyone else is experiencing something like this: I'm exporting models and animations using both Ohana3DS OR Spica, but I get bad textures when importing them to Unity. Models and animations work perfectly in Unity but the colors are all wrong. What could be happening?
Thank you in advance

I've never had any issues with this, but I've only ever exported Meloetta and M-Absol to Unity.
Some of the models have weird eye textures where the pupil is a separate file and appears above the textures, that may be the issue with the eyes.
I've also been told sometimes you have to flip the textures like shown in this picture. I also had to do a 90 rotation on Meloetta's hair to get it right, so that might be another thing worth trying. Anything else I'm not too sure, but I'll take a look at it when I get the time.

These aren't files, it's a list of where to find each pokemon's files inside the file for the game that holds battle models/animations/textures

Did you get the offset correctly working? Also, does anyone how to export the models + animations? The SMD seems to not be associated to the mesh

You might be able to export the animations using SPICA? Haven't really played around with that at all
I got it working with blender. First exporting the model and then the smd animations separately. After Importing the model, I imported every anim and exported in fbx format. For textures, I needed to duplicate and mirrored them on Photoshop and voilà.

Also is it possible someone is capable of giving me a download of all the models and animations?

I'm new to all this. I'm trying to find the animations for Minccino, but how do I find it? I downloaded both files that were linked but I don't know where to go from here.

Sorry for the month late response, I've updated the post and it now includes full instructions on what you need to do. If you have any questions or need help, feel free to ask.

Hi! I'm super new to ripping and 3d models in general, but I've downloaded several programs in an attempt to play around with Pokemon animations to no avail. I've successfully downloaded pk3ds, Ohana, and SPICA, but none of them are accepting the .3ds file for Ultra Moon that I downloaded. It works fine on a Citra emulator so there's not a problem with the file itself, but I'm stuck on what to do. pk3ds tells me the file is too big, and SPICA/Ohana both tells me that they don't accept .3ds files. Do I need to download a .cia rip of Ultra Moon or something? Any help would be appreciated!

Ohana and Spica load binaries extracted from the game (this tutorial). Then, you can export them to SMD and dae. With those files, you can export the fbx with blender (https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutoria...ed-models-from-3ds-to-unity-engine-3d.532962/)

There is an easy to find Mega repo with all models and animations

@Psionic Roshambo, people who cant download it can still play the game

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

Did you feed the hamster in your internet router? It prob died and is running slow now.

@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
