This didn't work for me unfortunately.
I think because i am using a clone version of R4i Gold? (not completely sure).
The website on the cart is www(dot)r4igold(dot)cn.
and heres what the root of the card looks like:

Can you elaborate?

Yep, it's a clone.

First, put your original firmware back.

Then, download this, extract it to the root and run default.nds(if it doesn't automatically start) and then run pokemon.

I downloaded the file and extracted it. Then i copied the files to the root of my card..
Then tried to play the Patched rom and got the same error code.

However I may be doing something wrong. When i paste the files onto the micro sd, it didnt merge any folders or replace any files.
There is a folder called SYSTEM on the card.. do these files go in there instead of the root?

No, it's supposed to be on the root. Can you take a picture again and also can you tell me the error you're getting?

EDIT: Look at my other post. I edited it.

ok. I put the YSMENU files onto my card, then loaded the default.nds.
Went to play the pokemon rom and got this messege:

Error
ttpatch.dat
Cannot open loader

If you want to see a print screen of the files i can post one

Gimme a few minutes and I'll fix that. And no, I don't need a print screen. I'll edit this post once I'm done fixing it.

EDIT: Download this, extract everything to the root of your SD, run YSmenu.nds and then run your game. It should work now.

I tried your firmware with my R4i Gold which I assumed was similar, but I can't save. Mine is from r4i-gold.com. Any help would be appreciated.

Gimme a few minutes. I'm looking into it. I'll edit this post when I find a solution.

EDIT: I found out the problem. I'm making the firmware now.

EDIT 2: http://www.mediafire.com/?lc79n79ah6h1k84

Hopefully, it'll work now.

You make firmware?

No. I compiled YSMenu, downloaded retrogamefan's latest update and then I took the extinfo, savlib, infolib and I copied them to YSMenu's TTMENU directory.

i'm too lazy to read all 57 pages, so is there any patch to fix the union room and other wi-fi stuff?

Which flashcart do you have?

I'm trying to get pokemon white (eu, #5584) to run on my acekard rpg (just upragaded to akaio 1.8.6a) but im geting a "save data could not be accessed". It's a clean rom with soft reset and ap thing disabled. (tried different combos with enabling and siabling).

Also tried wood rpg since it was supposed to work on that too but same thing "save data could not be accessed".

I'm using the internal memory of the card, dont have any microSD cards or whatever they are.

TLDR; how to get pokemon white to work when geting a "save data could not be accessed"

Thanks in advance. If I posted in the wrong place, im sorry, can you direct me to the correct place?

My cousin had the exact same problem a week ago. Once he got a MicroSD and tried to run the game through it, the game worked perfectly.
Get a lent MicroSD and test it, if it works get one for yourself

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
    +1
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds

It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
