This is awesome! Such a quick and easy fix. I guess I've used the exe without the bloated bug, but it worked marvelously. I just dumped import.db from old (nag-less) emunand, drop import.db on the exe, then inject it to the new/current emunand, and now i'll be on my way! I'm really just posting so I can find this thread again, because liking a post doesn't leave a log in my profile
I already removed the one with the bloat bug . You also wouldn't have needed to use the importfix exe if the import.db was nag free to begin with . The importfix essentially clears the update.nag from a 'tainted' import.db. Still, good to hear it worked for you!
... and the importfix executable is now fixed, the resulting import.db can now be injected to the EmuNAND via Decrypt9. Check this post for the download!
I would like to test your fixed version, but since I don't have update NAG anymore I can't (And I'm too lazy to switch auto DNS, wait for update NAG to come back and then test again, sorry ^^)

Decrypt9 (see my signature) to dump and reimport the import.db and importfix.exe from this post. Don't do this on SysNAND. And let me know if it worked for you.
You need decrypt9 so either the launcher.dat or .3dsx depending on how you're going to launch it, then you need to go to emunand options>dump>import.db. After that just drag and drop the import.db file on your sd on importfix.exe (look for it at previous page), then copy the fixed import.db at the root of the sd, and use decrypt9 emunand options>import>import.db. You should be done at that point! Please note that this is an experimental feature, don't use it on sysnand, and make an emunand backup either via decrypt9 or multi emuNand creator

Yeah I injected my emunand backup so now I can get into rxtools cfw so I guess I won't be able to use the import.db fix? One thing I did notice was when I exported the import.db it was called different

Once this is stable, maybe you would make it embeded into decrypt9, so users have a option to easily remove the nag.
In fact i don't know if the console would clear the downloaded updates if console thinks it is already updated to latest, using your private update server.
BTW the title blocks private update server is 000400102002CA00, which is "newslist" however i don't know why console checks this (orz).
That's the point. import.db isn't fully understood, and what we're doing here is an ugly workaround that probably leaves garbage data on your EmuNAND. Most likely, this will never be stable enough to include in Decrypt9. Even the way it is now, you can achieve that result by running two features from Decrypt9 (1. Dump import.db from SysNAND and 2. inject import.db into EmuNAND), but if anything goes wrong users can blame this workaround. If there was one feature to do this in Decrypt9 directly, users would blame Decrypt9. So, nope, this will most likely never be in Decrypt9.
I had one update message earlier today which I rrejected but it's gone now, don't know why.
I also blocked the update specific webservers in my router so 3DS couldn't access it anyway.
I can see it now:
"Well, I copied my 9.5.0-23U emuNAND to my 9.2.0-20U sysNAND to clean it, but now for some strange reason I can’t get rxTools to work anymore…"
(Better hope they have a HardMod ready for this one...)
