I went on cleaning my PS3 slim 4.89 HEN jailbreak, and change the thermal paste, then after that I plugged it back on my TV via HDMI, at first it's all doing good, but after 30 minutes, the display goes black and on for a couple of seconds, then suddenly I heard a sound coming from my TV audio and the display was completely black. I check on my PS3 it is solid green on it's light indicator indicating that it's good and not overheating like the RLOD.

Here's what I did to troubleshoot:
1. PS3 is working with display using AV cable which only at 480p. Played high intensive games at temperature between 55c to 59c and fan set auto at 68c default 35 fan speed. But if I change to HDMI, black screen, sometimes no signal or sometimes garbage display.
2. Tried changing different HDMI cables and also tried using 3 different TV, it's all the same, sometimes black screen, no signal, or garbage display, sometimes it comes on but no sound, then goes black again
3. Tried resetting procedure a couple of times, by holding the power button until I hear the 2nd beep.
4. Already check the HDMI slot for any broken or bent pins, but all seems ok.

Since I know that the RSX chip and CPU is ok never experience the temperature goes beyond 70c and no problems at all playing games using AV cable, I just don't know what happens to my HDMI .
Any help would greatly appreciated.

Might be a possibility that the port fried itself... you might have to replace the port. not 100% sure if this fixes it. might be even the case that the gpu was somehow damaged by overheating. i heard this can even happen if there was too much thermal paste applied. otherwise you have to deal with AV for now...

The AV port is still good since it can display in HD via Component Cable or one of those cheap PS2 HDMI Adapters (I read).

In terms of component cables, if he were to get one, it ought to be the official Sony or the much praised HD Retrovision. If he went with the cheap $5 then expect the image to go black (disconnected) unexpectedly, and it just doesn't look nowhere near as good as the two recommendations.

This dude speaks in Brazilian Portuguese, not English, but skip to 5:25 and you'll see the improvement PS3 has with the PS2 HDMI Adapter:
