I'm always so impressed by the back mosfet installations everyone posts here. Could anyone lend some advice? I've tried 3 separate times on 3 separate OLEDs but always get the same issue... ==* Error and boot to OFW.

I used a lot of lead free solder in my last attempt as you recommend @abal1000x but still nothing :(

The same system booted instantly with my usual $0.90 AliExpress cpu flex.
The first picture is a solid one, it should works.

Maybe the gate cable are shorting when you place it back, to the case to test it.
The problem with 'enameled' wire is when its scrached with the sharp edge such as the pcb edge. The best one if you bought the 40awg 'insulated' wire on aliexpress. I have use it, and its my best cable now. The cons is only the price.

Or you soldered it to the wrong pin in the pcb, which i assume you didn't.

Just saying this is the 1V line you might used.

These 1V line from the Max ic will goes to the front pcb

And that eventually will be used by the cap on the cpu.

So the difference between using the front point and the back point only lay on the 'parasitic caps', which i think its not a major factor on the glitch, since the timing will be automatically search by the firmware. I could be wrong though who knows.

Hey. What is the capacity and size of capacitors that the modchip takes power from. I lost mine (long story) and I need to buy new ones. (Switch OLED)

This is pretty good amount, weird it didnt wotk. I’ve done 10+ back installations all worked nicely, I recommend trying Mechanic TY-V866 solder wire

Weird. I think everything is exactly as you describe. Also I put tape over the work while testing so unlikely to be a short.

This is the mosfet I'm using:

https://www.infineon.com/dgdl/irfhs8342pbf.pdf?fileId=5546d462533600a401535623992e1f5f

Have others had consistent good luck with larger mosfets?

Edit: Tried again using alternate solder points, same error. I must be making some stupid mistake. (2nd photo is mirrored. The gate is soldered correctly)

Here you've connected Gate wire to Source of the MOSFET, it should be the opposite pin.

EDIT: nevermind.

Personally I got working the single MOSFET setup only once in 3 times that I tried it on different consoles. I'm sticking to the double SoC cap MOSFET nowadays. I suggest you to try that next time.

It really is weird that many report a failure to glitch in a one-MOSFET setup. I've stopped using two MOSFETs since 20ish OLEDS ago. It's particularly strange because your last pic shows meticulous work and a great solder amount. I can only think of Solder wire conductivity as the reason for this (according to @abal1000x theory). What solder wire are you using?

Yeah, I want only enter in ofw without sd card. Thank you, guy.
Once the modchip is installed, everything goes under the management of the same, even the original firmware. You definitely have a problem on the microSD socket. At this point I think either solve the problem on the socked or disassemble the modchip to restart the original console.

My friend, I don't have any installation problem. I don't have an SD card at the moment. I bought 5 units, but they haven't arrived yet. I entered OFW without an SD card just to test the components, joycons, wifi, bluetooth and see if everything was working.

for someone who wants to jailbreak switch oled without a DAT0 adapter or rebelling emmc, this Method is good for me I just take the pin from the SATA cable and put it under the emmc and reflow it with hot air station. I usually set the temperature to 350c 50% for 1 minute. Never had any issue with emmc
