I was curious about the font, I searched and it seems the font is from the PSP itself, not the game.
anyway, not sure if it's just me, but the letters feel way too wide!
not sure how hard it is to use a custom font?
of course, great work on the translation.

yes psp1 was translated, psp2 was translated too. (both officially)
psp2i wasn't translated, and psp2i includes psp2.
you can import your psp2 save to psp2i (and even import your psp1 save to psp2! but I think it's just your character design... I forget)

Update on some of the things we've been working on alongside the testing:

Below are some of the smaller remaining typesetting issues that have been improved.
The spacing between the text is done manually by adding tabs and spaces, so getting the objects to line up proved to be quite a task.
(Lower image is the updated version. Some of the pics may be a bit blurry because of resizing; this is not indicative of the in-game quality.)

JamRules has also created translated versions of tutorial images.

Some more examples. These also show what our rework of the Infinity Mission system looks like.

Edit: One more to show some extra DL missions that were finally translated.
These were periodically released by SEGA at the time, or you could get them from various events or promo codes.
They will be included in the patch DL.

I made a video with those PP comparisons I made... years ago? Since PP is the stamina of this game it might be useful:

I've been playing PSP2 again, preping up to import my save when the translation releases. Anyone that plays PSP2i can share some advices? Anything I should try to acomplish in PSP2 before transfering over? Like missables, or gear that might be easier to farm on PSP2, stuff like that.

if you take the save on to the psp emulator you can convert it to the Japanese version that allows it to be convert when they bring it out. instructions are somewhere in this thread

took me a sec but found it
QUOTE="Anubis1101, post: 8922947, member: 490427"]For those looking to do savegame conversions from the US/EU version of PSP2, since a lot of the threads are dead, I went and figured out how to do it using PPSSPP. It also works with Adrenaline!

Feel free to copy and distribute these instructions across other boards. I tried to post to the main PSOworld savegame conversion thread, but I can't create an account for some reason.

Steps enclosed:
What you need:
  • PPSSPP
  • Copies of JP and US or EU versions of Phantasy Star Portable 2 on your PC
  • Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity on either your PC, PSP, or in Adrenaline
Steps:
  1. Open the ppsspp.ini file, located in ppsspp/memstick/PSP/SYSTEM
  2. Make sure EncryptSave is set to False.
  3. Make sure SavedataUpgradeVersion is set to True. Save the file, but keep it open.
  4. Run PPSSPP, load your US/EU savegame in your US/EU version of PSP2, and then save the game.
  5. Open the savegame folder in ppsspp/memstick/PSP/SAVEDATA
  6. Copy the save folder - should be ULUS10529 or ULEU10529, check the pictures to make sure its the right one.
  7. Rename the copied folder to NPJH50043
  8. Run PPSSPP again, this time load up the Japanese version of PSP2
  9. Load your game, and then save it.
  10. If you have PSP2i on your PC, You can skip to step 11! It'd be wise to do step 10-2 at some point to prevent future issues.
    1. If you don't, and need to import it to your PSP or PSVita, close PPSSPP.
    2. Pull up ppsspp.ini again, and set EncryptSave to True
    3. Run PPSSPP one last time, run the Japanese PSP2, then save the game.
    4. Copy the NPJH50043 folder over to your PSVita/PSP, place it in the SAVEDATA folder.
  11. Run PSP2i and import using the option labeled "前作セーブデータインポート"!

Well if you transferring from PSP2 to PSP2i, you may have to play from the start if you want to play as Deuman race since they're new in infinity.

Also a lot of things have changed aside from it's additional weapons, technics, clothes and hairstyles (some of them are reference to concept art and PSO/PSO2 i think).

For instance, if you thought you've upgraded your weapon to max using extend code, there's an extend code oo that enable you to maxed out your weapon even further.

Then, there's a rebirth point that used to increase your stats but your level will back to lvl1 per each use.
