Persona 1 & 2 best Versions?

I finally want to go back to where it all began and experience the earliest games the Persona series has to offer, but as per usual, there re quite a few games to chose from.

Which are, as chosen by the community, the best versions of Persona 1 and both Persona 2 games?

and if so, why not?

For me both are fine, I can't choose.

from what i've gathered, Persona 1 PSP with a PSX music patch is the preferred way to play the first game as the PSX localization sucks.
as for P2, most people play the PSP versions for convenience but they are said to be easier than the PSX versions (especially innocent sin). keep in mind that in the west, eternal punishment only released for the PSX while innocent sin only released on the PSP, although fan translations exist.

This is the big issue with the first 3 Persona games. Different ports have different advantages and there is no 100% definitive version.

i think if the PSP versions have a better localization those are the ones im gonna have to go with.
