I think a permanent patcher isn't a problem for the GBAtemp forums, if it's not a problem for preloader or starfall.

Also, the Patcher Channel works, no brick, starts import channels legally downloaded, or import discs (US and JAP on PAL System).

If you follow my guide which I will write tomorrow you'll just need the WAD file of your system menu, a hex editor and the wwpacker.
Only operation on the Wii is installing one WAD file.

Isn't it possible to patch those directly on the Wii, like Starfall or Preloader did?

4,0 blocks the Twilight Hack. So with Waninkoko´s Firmware Updater the TP Hack works or not?

Pika: Interesting question. 4.0 doesn't so much fix the issue with the zelda save, but rather just deletes any modified saved... There isn't any reason why this couldn't be patched into IOS60.

I had a legitmately bought game from another region on here. The weird thing about it is that it has an english home menu yet the game is of course japanese and of japanese region (I don't have a WAD, and even if I wanted to hack the WAD I don't need to if there is some other way to play the unhacked version)....anyway, he kindly added region free channels, it seems to work great. It won't load from the SD Card channel, but that isn't so big a deal since I can just copy it to flash.

Region Free Channel only works in the System menu but not the SD card menu

Did you copy preloader's hacks.ini to the root of your SD card, then copy the patches listed in the first post (on this page for region free channels) into it? Also, I'm not sure what IOS this uses when it loads (before it loads into the system menu) but if it uses something other than cIOS you might need to downgrade your IOS.

So you have two threads talking about the same crap though v4.0.2 is older , no explaining text for what it does , many asks for NTSC compatibility and no answer , what's going on can please when some @ss make a new patch , script , compilation make a bet of support for it so people don't keep on hitting the walls and make mistakes for less info given , thanks
