Hey there. I opened up my 3DS to take a look inside to see how much work the hardmod would be. Turns out for me it's a fair amount. I didn't even begin to do the hardmod.

Somehow in reassembling i've managed to brick it. At first I had it working but certain apps would cause "an error has occurred. please turn off the power" message appear. Tried to do a hard reset on the console and now it only boots to a blank screen. Recovery mode says it's unable to update.

I've checked all of the ribbon cables they all seem fine. One mistake i did make was i slightly bent the ZIf connectors that aren't designed to be bent but I think they're all fine. Anyone have any clue what i'm missing?

Thanks!

If you bent up the connectors (black ones) those are not to be lifted but instead slid out. So possibly you don't have enough force pushing down the cable now.

Probably you tripped a hardware or something, check if everything is connected as it should be.
