never heard of a system getting bricked from using either. the games and tickets are going to be downloaded to the same places. it's how the system works.

Only if you use a pirated game for cbhc.

you could even technically delete all game tickets (don't on cbhc), and it wouldn't brick the system. system tickets are stored elsewhere. game corruption or whatever can usually be fixed by deleting the game or downloading something from the eshop if it won't delete. it recreates the indexer or something, if there's an indexer issue.

if you install something that requires cfw, like a ds game for cbhc, you'll generate a fake ticket. the reason I wrote the tutorial on deleting a fake ticket is that tickets will remain even if uninstalling, even if formatting the system. it's supposed to prevent you from being locked out if the eshop goes under. the games are still on there (judging by the wii, but you can't get a ticket from it. 404 error when I tried on the wii after the eshop was closed). there's also the possibility of a game no longer being offered on the eshop. nintendo seems to be doing that on the switch, so a ticket being impossible to delete is in some ways a good thing, because I'm sure the ticket distributing link will no longer work.

if you were to download a game from the eshop with a fake ticket, it will error unless you have sig patches at the install portion. it will error instantly actually, so it's good in case you have a fake ds game. it's the only way to get around it if you intend on using that game for cbhc or haxchi.

it's also good for anything you want to buy from the eshop as well if you originally installed it with wup. one of my friends used the tutorial to buy earthbound beginnings in order to show support for the series. anyway, deleting all of those tickets won't even hurt the system, but I wouldn't, because then games legit or fake won't work.

btw, only eshop stuff needs haxchi/cbhc/mocha. retail games like breath of the wild need nothing. they're playable on official firmware. some dlc is also usable depending on if there's a free dlc available. another friend of mine told me that only the first ticket is checked in the ticket bucket, so you could unlock all dlc without cfw if there's at least one free dlc and you transpose the fake ticket with a legit one. it should work for any game. breath of the wild and mario kart are two examples where this is possible. major fuck up by nintendo. lol
