No need to be paranoid. I also was in the begin when I swapped to GEN.
But the firmware works like a charm for me.

Yup, so I successfully switched to GEN-D2. But it DID almost gave me a heart attack. When I started Dissidia with UMD, a red screen appeared. So I thought I bricked my PSP. X_X
Lucky that's not the case. Geez, they better change it in something else instead of a red screen.
Anyway, everything seems to work fine and the same as first, so again, thanks guys!

Anyone hyped for Phantasy Star Portable 2? It looks so awesome, a great upgrade from the first game. It has new combos, monsters, maps, equipment, customizations, features and everything!! I'm most excited for the PVP function, they should have implemented it in the first place.

Anyway, downloaded the demo, and it doesn't work on 5.50 GEN D2.
Some Japanese writing comes up before it gets to the red screen or even starts the game.
Only way to play this game is if you have pandora. But correct me if i'm wrong, i didn't bother patching, but i doubt that makes no odds.
