So I'm playing the RE7 teaser and was following guides to get the phone call endings. But when I go upstairs to the phone room, the phone doesn't ring. I followed exactly this video, but there is no phone call to answer. I'm playing the latest 'midnight' version of the teaser. Maybe they changed some event triggers.

Same here, also some of the events for the murder mystery aren't triggering properly for me, effectively making the full ending unobtainable. :(
(Also, none of the Ghost Girl events are working either)

EDIT:
It looks like they definitely changed the event triggers with the updates. I've read that you need to obtain various objects such as the bolt cutters/tape before some key events can be triggered, however in my current testing even the cutters and tape didn't seem to trigger the phone call. Perhaps other items such as the hand/finger, notebook, gun, or axe are required. There are some claims that you need to fully watch/re-watch the tape or encounter the ghost girl, but there are too many variables right now. I'll keep testing and let you know if I find anything.

Dont look at where the ghost girl pops out, Just know where & when she pops out & have the location in your peripheral to look at when she pops out. Also interact with everything that you possible can while in VHS. Get the lock pick to unlock the draw, The frigde, Microwave, Pot on the table,Draw in the table at the bottom of the stairs. Also, If you go up the stairs & turn right in VHS, There's a table there with a headset there, Just look at them for maybe 10-20 seconds (People say this helps so I do it). Once out of VHS, Look at the note in front of the TV & VHS player, Then go back through that tiny hole & you'll see a set of key's by the ladder to go down, Pick them up & put them in the back door where all the cut up meat is BUT DONT OPEN IT! Just put the keys in the door.

Pretty sure there are some bugs with the event triggers. I was able to solve all the murders and get the True Ending with the secret item, then I repeated the game with the exact same actions and was able to solve all murders with the True Ending again. However, from this point onwards a key event will no longer trigger even when I am repeating the exact same steps as I did in the previous two runs, thus making the game impossible to complete again. :(

Deleting and reinstalling the game did nothing, however deleting the save seemed to have temporarily fixed the issue, only for another key event to fail. Restarting will cause the game to revert to the original state and break the first key event again.

Just wasted three hours with recordings and multiple takes only for the key event to fail to trigger and prevent the storyline from progressing every single time. Gave up in the end.

What's the point of "confirming" games you know will get released. Like Nintendo "confirming" a Zelda sequel. "We can't be sure Nintendo is working on a new Zelda game, or if a new Zelda game will ever be released, until they officially confirm it."
  • Veho @ Veho:
"There is literally no way to know if they will ever release a new Zelda game, it's wild speculation until they officially confirm it."
