drc_usetype seems to be the flag setting the mode for the gamepad in vWii mode for this title. Try changing it and seeing if you can still use the pad buttons on Xenoblade...

thats already possible, we got the eshop version of xenoblade booting in dolphin. all thats left is to reverse the eggs header and the encrypting code, split the nst, and it ***should*** allow us to inject isos.

Why don't we just try to patch the fw.img that is used to start vWii and make it load the XML file? Or would that be even more complicated?

The XML is easier, and the FW would not be editable if the XML is editable.

You can merge those into a iso, but you cannot do the inverse, so we are still a little far.
