Time to update! Or not. For now, we’re cautiously waiting it out to see what this new firmware brings to the stability table. The ylws8 site doesn’t show much, and Nintendo’s official website hasn’t yet updated itself to share what features or stability the new firmware offers. Additionally, reports seem to indicate that the update itself isn’t even live for users to download—just that it’s been picked up by the update checking bot.

This is not version 11.4.0. That's the SDK version, and it was also 11.4.0 for the last update.

This seems to be a silent update to only the bad word list (NgWord). There is no update to manually download.

We will see, if its like 11.1 the no, if its not a mandatory update that is required then no update will come.

Unless games require the firmware to play it then gets updates.

End of the day, sx os users got 11 update after nintendo took down the business men, finance, not the hackers themselves.

So lets see rather than endless threads since day one wanting them to be gone.

Meanwhile I'm still stuck here with a Mariko Switch, which came with 8.0.1. Can't even start Saint's Row 4 on the physical card because it whines for an update. And the only thing on switch.hacks.guide, is "wait for homebrew". And now we have a release date for No More Heroes 3 (unless Ninty decides to go melt-down mode and cancels that too).
