Was the latter ever there in the first place for them to even theoretically disappear?

Well, it's no DS, but there's a good couple of diamond hits in the rough of shovelware. Not as many as I'd like, but enough to go around.
So their solution is to buy a 3ds model that existed for all of one day. (Referring to the n3ds non-xl)
Well, alright. It seems 3DS finally retired and now the only way to get the 3DS it's just buying the New 3DS and the upcoming New 2DS XL (also plus maybe 2DS).
In my opinion, I think they should continue to offer repair. While this may sound silly to some people for me to say that, but it's still their current system. Granted, it's not the New 3DS XL with the more powerful hardware, but it's still the 3DS line of products. They offered support for the NES for 22 years!
They didn't offer repairs for that long though
