Nintendo shares rise by 6.33% due to the successful launch of Fire Emblem Heroes

It looks like investors are once again pleased by Nintendo's fledgling attempts in the mobile market, as shares are rising quickly after the release of their latest phone game, Fire Emblem Heroes. Partner company DeNA, who helped in the development of Heroes also saw a rise in value by 3.50%. This, interestingly, follows Nintendo dropping 6.50% after their reveal of the Nintendo Switch in October, and another drop of 6% following the January 12 Switch Direct video.

Which tells me investors don't understand video game systems or innovation. They do understand cell-phones and adoption rates. Seems unfortunately understandable.

Investors have always been fickle so share prices dropping or increasing from day to day doesn't mean too much. If they can sustain growth however then I'll say things are looking good for the old N. Apparently I was just having some incredible luck yesterday because I had no problems connecting to the servers. All around I'd say the game is pretty fun and is totally manageable to play without spending a dime so I'd say it's a winner.

well yeah, if you feel comfortable playing the game with a group of noname losers. if you want to play with things you like, you need to spend money.

How is this game? As an owner of Fates(complete) and Awakening is there anything in this mobile version that is really worth my time? I think Fire Emblem is a great call for a mobile title, but I'm struggling to see something to compel me to play it over playing the other 2 3DS titles I already have.

It's only really worth it if you LOVE the series and want to see older characters from games that haven't been released in America. The best thing about it is the artwork, otherwise it's watered down casual Fire Emblem.

It's more of the same, but it's fun at least.

It's just okay. Nothing impressive but it's free. I find the simplified controls pretty annoying since you need to drag your characters on top of the enemy which doesn't make sense for archers. Battles also seem to be 4v4 only. A lot of the mechanics are the same as Final Fantasy Brave Exvius (summoning and stamina). It's just an okay Fire Emblem experience, even for mobile and a free game.

Good news for Nintendo. Should probably get some stocks if Nintendo Switch is successful. Also, I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone. This is just like Final Fantasy Record Keeper all over again. Most of the gameplay is simply Auto Battle and pay2win weapons/characters. There's hardly any real Fire Emblem Strategy in the game if you just plan to Auto most of the chapter maps. Not to mention you're locked with only 4 characters per map and 4 enemy characters in a single screen, (16x something, forgot). If you want to play a real Fire Emblem game, get Fates or Awakening. Both are awesome games.

What's the model like, though? Very generous like Pokemon Duels? Or does it pester you for MTX in order to continue within 15 minutes of starting?

Also, odds on Nintendo's Switch app tying into mobile IPs for achievement sharing between devices and other stuff like that seem to be increasing daily.

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
