You need ANY slot1 flashcart AND a M3/G6/Supercard in slot2 (the non-pro/non-rumble series, cause those dont have RAM) in order for the hack to work.

BSPatch isn't working for me, for some reason.

I've tried typing in both bspatch and bspatch.exe and neither work and the reason there are gaps in the path is because my name was the folder name.

remove the spaces, then open notepad and write something like

bspatch dsbrowser.nds patched.nds patch.bdf

and save as a .bat

EDIT2: I'm still getting the "no expansion pack" on No$GBA, let's hope that doesn't happen on my R4.

no$gba doesn't emulate a RAM cart so that's why you can't use it on that. R4 will allow you to run it but you must have an EZ 3in1 cart (or similar cart? -- haven't researched it lately

).
Um... Isn't the point of the patch so you don't need the EZ FlasH?

No...the point is so you can use it on a Slot 1 flashcart and use a Slot 2 as the RAM cart.

Good question. That'd almost certainly be slower and less compatible with certain web sites than a pc one. Only really worth the curiousity factor.

Now, if they can just make the Nintendo DS Browser work on a Slot 2 flash cart with built in ram by itself.

@linuxares the dev just ends up at 0

it's no worse than if you pirated
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
it's probably better, because not all keys on key sites are stolen
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
plus piracy is not always an option
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i heard a related story for a dev actually

    from a dev*
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
DRMs are getting stronger these days
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they bought their own game on a key site and checked where they came from and it turned out they were review copies he had given out by email to someone
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    *all* of them
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
no storefront I'm aware of (at least on pc) requires the devs to pay for the keys they generate
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
they don't lose money doing this, even if someone decide to chargeback
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so that seems to be a pretty common thing, i kinda blame the dev for that one though as they were giving out like 5 keys to someone just because they asked for multiple copies for review for whatever reason and there were multiple people doing this. he should've seen the red flags
