Ninjhax 2.0 Released!

ninjhax3.png

GBAtemp's resident homebrew enthusiast @smealum is just on a roll lately. Coming off of the release of Ninjhax late last year, he's come back again with yet another release of his famous Ninjhax Nintendo 3DS exploit, which again utilizes Cubic Ninja. The 2.0 version of this software allows running of homebrew applications on a Nintendo 3DS supporting firmwares up to version 9.9, the current and latest firmware.

To run Ninjhax 2.0 you need the following. Instructions linked below as well:
  • A 3DS, 3DS XL or 2DS console with a firmware version between 9.0.0-X and 9.9.0-X. X can be any digit.
  • An SD card compatible with your 3DS (the one it comes with will of course do).
  • A copy of the game CUBIC NINJA, either from retail or eShop.

Ninjhax 2.0 have some optimizations that aren't available in Ninjhax 1.0 (I dunno if those are N3DS only).
I have 2 setups, O3DS with 4.2 sysnand and 9.9 emunand, and N3DS that will always have the latest OFW.
I don't want to migrate to ninjhax 2.0 if it won't work in 9.2 or below, I still want my Pasta.

1.1b is best if you're on a new 3ds on 9.0-9.2 since 2.0 kills a lot of homebrew and ruins CFW

Sure wish I didn't miss my chance to get Cubic Ninja at 20 bucks.
Its going for 50 or more on Amazon now.
Really hoping this update gives homebrew scene a good push.

I wish it could work with OOT like that other exploit, my physical copy of OOT has been gathering dust.
Anyway, kudos to Smealum and the other devs behind this.

I second this comment (actually mine is not actually collecting dust, it's still in the parcel from PlayAsia)

I also wonder technically how much different exploiting OOT is from exploiting Cubic Ninja. BTW, if it helps, I'd be glad to send my Japanese copy of OOT to smealum (just PM me) if it can help him "spread the love" to OOT owners.

    @Xdqwerty, Yeah, I'd recommend having another OS just in-case you want to play games.

    At least Linux doesn't contain spyware than what Windows has.

    @SylverReZ, cuz of lag?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, No. Whenever you use the internet on Windows, Microsoft collects personal data and installs bloatware that isn't necessarily needed, such as Edge.

    @SylverReZ,
    I recall @impeeza mentioned some trick about not having bloatware when installing windows where you set up your country to "world" or smh like that

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Yes, you can debloat the operating system, but in some cases for me it just reinstalls them.

    @SylverReZ,
    I also recall my brother downloded a "non bloated" version of windows 11 on his pc

  • impeeza @ impeeza:
    @Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.

    This one lady... her son kept installing Kazaa... OK no problem the issue is he would download DBZ movies and they where amazing usually like 2-8KB in size lol can't remember how many times I had to format and reinstall windows over his stupidity. I even explained to him about file sizes multiple times...
