Today the Wii U receives a new game on the US ! Pad of Time

Pad of Time is not like the latest tiny games that appeared on Wii U, it's a full 2.5D platformer ! with:
* New Time machine mechanic
* A gyro mechanic to change the physics of the world
* 3 playable characters
* A unique cartoon style with plenty of humor
*Exclusive GAMEBOY MODE only for Wii U

It was quite a challenge to submit a game this year for Wii U, so If you like the console give it a try, also if you don't have Wii U it's also available for Nintendo Switch

It's available to download since at least a week ago (see http://wiiubrew.org/w/index.php?title=Title_database&action=history ). So did they upload it early but released it only today or are you off by one week?

Hi it was available on Europe since April 13, but the US version got delayed to April 21 (today) due publishing issues

Not enough money on my account right now, but I'll have to add funds before 3DS/Wii U eShop closure anyway. Might consider buying this.



The DMG-001 style graphics are very appealing. Not gonna lie: This kind of nostalgia always gets me. No idea how many hours I played with the Game Boy.
Would be nice have a real Game Boy version on the Everdrive… rather than Steam Deck. Yes, I know I'm talking nonsense with my focus on old stuff.

Yes, I've seen the "/s" and even know the meaning of this.

You'll get this one → ← anyway:

I think you meant: "You should have put a vulnerability in it /s" – some software vulnerability that can be exploited.

1. Would certainly not have been a smart thing to deliberately leave vulnerabilities in the software. Nintendo wouldn't be too happy (the game is also available for the Switch¹) and it might have negative consequences for the developer ('s account).
2. A vulnerability/exploit requiring buying something isn't everybody's favorite. Search how often people have been whining about "Why can't I pirate the Haxchi title?? Booohoo!". Luckily Tiramisu put an end to this.
3. We have primary exploit in the browser (very easy and by far the most used) and as a fallback in case of broken browser BluuBomb (with certain unbrick capabilities). There also is something for the very widespread title Mario Kart 8 if I remember correctly → No need for a small indie-developer putting in errors on purpose.

¹ Arbitrary code execution in Switch userland isn't gonna bring the homebrew community forward very much. Sandboxing and exploit mitigations… current DRMs are a nightmare (therefore I do not buy such consoles)

Now I've to evaluate if this really is/was worth my money. 7 Euros isn't too much to take a risk.


I have to add a question: Why are all the birds constantly trying to shit on me!? They are literally aiming at the player. They only shit when the character is exactly below. Not even talking about the bird-like boss. Is this inspired by the AVGN review of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde where he emphasized the birds are shitting on the player? (Thankfully it doesn't play like this strange NES game).

Also: Love the DMG-001 style on the Gamepad. That alone should be worth my money.
