Hey guys!
I recently traded my old 3DS against a PS3 SuperSlim (12GB).
Not that I actually need one, I already have a PS3 Slim with CFW, but it can't hurt to have a backup.
I bought a HDD Caddy and my PS3 SuperSlim should arrive next week.

Since I have only used CFW, I have no idea what to expect when it comes to ODE.
From the little I have gathered is that Cobra ODE is the way to go, since 3k3y don't even update their ODE anymore?

Are there any advantages with ODE over CFW?
Will I be able to install stuff on my internal PS3 hard drive?
What is the difference between a regular Cobra ODE and Cobra ODE QSV? Is one better than the other?
Will either require any soldering?

If there is anything else worth mentioning, please do!!!

Have you confirm that you can update to a CFW?

There is no CFW for superslims. Anything beyond the 2500 generation are ODE only.

There are no advantages of ODE short of maybe less items to flag your account on PSN. ODE is very limited, and in the newer firmwares, requires swap discs to load any backups. ODE is usually a last resort when CFW isn't possible.

Install? You mean the game data? Yes.
Install? You mean homebrew and packages? No.

QSV is an additional add-on requires for FW 4.50+ and is required - haven't seen it pop up yet in any store.
Yes, all ODE's require a bit of soldering.
