Yeah, there's a new update available, after all.

Testing IronHax now on my broken O3DS.
Still works on the newest update!

TubeHax DOES WORK!

Also, I can state: OoTHax still works.

"Update: Nintendo has removed all mention of this update from its website… so I suppose it’s not available after all! Regardless, it should be out soon.

Nintendo has released a new firmware update for 3DS. Version 10.0.0-27 is out now in all territories.

Despite the change in numbers (from version 9 to 10), it doesn’t seem as though the update adds any major functionality. Of the new firmware, Nintendo simply states: “Further improvements to overall system stability, system security, and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.”

Looks like someone at NoA jumped the gun and posted about that update before the right time.

They removed the information from the website, and now the info about the 9.8.0-25 update appear twice: http://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/231/~/system-menu-update-history

I just got a system update available notification and it says 9.9.0_26.

I never got the 9.9 notification before.

As long as you're hooked up with the Tubehax DNS, you won't be getting any update notifications, so we're all good for now, just don't update for a while- hopefully we'll have some more well developed homebrew and possibly a kernel exploit sometime in the future.

On the other hand, you won't be able to access eShop :\

Can someone make a YouTube exploit/homebrew app to help skip the update checks on the eShop then?
(i know it was possible with the old web browser, so maybe we can still do it with youtube?

I don't think it would be possible. It's the same reason with Gateway not working on 9.9 youtube.

That's mentioned in the OP, but yeah kind of funny and fishy.
