No offense, K1RO, but I was about to bring up that "There's a pay-wall you have to get through before you can use it and some people don't have internet, or a credit card. But now, it won't cost to clone." A clever addition on Datel's part, wouldn't you say? And yes, I read your edit.

People will still be needing internet to use Powersaves and you could use Nintendo prepaid card if don't have any credit cards. It will still be useful though, like K1RO said, to anyone who don't like to subscribe/don't subscribe the bank.

...Oops. I'd forgotten about the internet requirement, Keno. My bad... :shy:

OH MY MAGIKARP! They added some more codes. They added All Badges, All Boxes, All Wallpapers, All Clothes, All Tool Items, and IV modifiers. Don't get excited though because the codes only set them to 0 iv's. I hope 32 will show up in the near future. This is a huge update!

Question, Are IVs still attached to the PID?

The clothing codes would be more than PKHeX can do, at least for me?

It's only ever been blanked out like this. Am I using an old version?

Vaguely offtopic, sorry about that. As for on topic, does anyone know if editing the IVs changes the PID with powersaves?

Clothing code only unlocks every piece of clothing. PKHeX has a nonfunctional appearance customizer.

Clothing is just a bitfield... all Datel did was copy from complete save files to make the code. I was too lazy to add it as it's really trivial to obtain all the clothes you want ingame or make the modifications by hand.

The IV modifier on Powersaves.
It doesn't help at all unless you want a useless pokemon which I do not see any advantages of doing :/

Well I know the 0 Speed IV would be great in Trick Room teams (or in my case, I have a Gyro Ball user, so it'd make for a bit more damage). Otherwise, it is pretty useless though. I'm hoping to see 30 and 31 for Hidden Power.

0 Iv is kinda useful for atk/speed for trick room and attack on sp. atkers to reduce foul play damage.
All we would really need is ones for 31/30/1/0 to make any perfect hidden power pokes.

Theres no need to have a 1IV, Hidden Powers are only odd/even numbers. So all we need is 31, 30, and 0... unless I'm missing something about 1IV.

But isn't having a 0IV code technically "ruining online play" as what Datel says? Because like people say: Trick Room team, Gyro Ball, and less damage from confusion/Foul Play.

EDIT: Oh right, 1IV on Atk for Hidden Power so you won't take heavy damage from Confusion.

except thats exactly what i was doing in my post above, lol.. i'm writting a USB HID driver in C#.. I'm able to figure out the encrypted commands via a debugging program and then use my program to send them to the device and listen for a callback.. thats how i dumped the NCCH headers off the cart.. just using that alone wont let you magically sign saves we need to send this data to a service that can.
do you plan to be public with this at any point.(possibly adding it to the wiki).

If I can ever get it to work 100%, maybe.. lol. I'm just afraid that if you factor in everyone that has a powersave, the number of genners would be exponential, assuming the end goal of this is achieved.. so its a matter of how much i care about the game I guess..

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
