Or you can use your O3DS that you are going to hack for system transfer to hack your new 3ds on 11.6. And I suggest, to read thrue whole guide (NTRBoot, system transfer, browserhax) section, because most of the things are answered and explained there.

Yea I read about that already, but I'm really trying to avoid that method. Seems a little trickier than just using one, plus my old one would have to have cfw on it already, which it doesn't so I'm not trying to add any extra steps if I don't have to. I'm just going to do what @MasterSe7en said earlier and install b9s and luma on the new one (7.2.0) when it comes in
