So, here's the channel for rodries' first version from today.

Meaning:
- no crashes on exit (returns to Wii menu)
- Wiimote power off function (shuts down Wii)
- reads video files from dvds

Created for region 2, I don't know if it works on NTSC, couldn't find a explanation for WAD regions. Please be careful. It works perfectly on PAL Wiis, I tested it.

All credits are in the ZIP file. Thanks for everyone involved! IMHO it's the best Media Channel ever!

Have you test smb browsing?
And streamming ?

I have no time to do test.
My next goal is try to compile mplayer myself to add subtitle and avoid code dumps when transfer rate is low.
But probably i'll began to study the code next week, so I don't think that I'll do it soon, at least 2 or 3 weeks.

SMB browser works fine for me. The playback isn't that great however, I would say it's unwatchable.
The problem is that nintendo wifi driver is very slow. Transfer rate is like usb but is not a stable.
So you only can watch films, using samba, with low rate.

If nintendo improve his lan in an IOS then it will works fine.

Has anybody compared mplayer samba with geexbox samba?

Oh, I might look into geexbox later.. I didn't know it had that feature yet.

Yea, same here. I've also had the picture go scrambled and I had to do a hard reset. As well as audio problems.

how do i use SMB with GeeXbox?? HELP

Code:
Network sources
If you want to use shoutcast/icecast etc., remember to set long blacklist or short white list in GEEXBOX/etc/netstream. Better still, just define a few netstreams pointing to the broadcasts you desire and disable shoutcast/icecast scan. The reason for this is because every broadcast url obtained by GeeXboX from scanning the server is saved in Wii memory as a playlist file. Thousands of such small files soon eat up all available space. For uPnP shares over lan, avoid exporting huge and complex directories.
hmm do i just put in the same as in mplayerwii #stream etc
