Homebrew mod that removes miiverse icon?

there's a way to replace this App with another Homebrew app.
Tried this over a year ago when I replaced the "Notes"-Applet with the Homebrew Launcher

Have to check this again

unfortunately not.
The Homebrew Launcher needs to be rewritten for that

I'll be really glad if this thread sparks home menu customization akin to the PSP. Anyone remember those good ol' days of hex editing PRXs and injecting images and sounds into RCOs? Something finally similar on the 3DS would be neat.

that is a beautiful idea i wonder if i can simply look up the title id then delete it via fbi without issues my sd is too big for me to backup on my pc (or rather my pc is too shitty) otherwise i would test this out myself

No, the icon would stay. It would just crash whenever you try to launch it.

indeed it would and thats why im gonna pick apart some homemenus from different firmwares this weekend and make a fully custom homemenu that is NOT an attempt to make a dev menu

Did that before B9S / A9S was released. Used an EmuNAND for that. Have to check this again but yes, I've replaced it with HBL

if this hasn't been mentioned already, let's just overwrite it with a homebrew launcher link, and replace the icon, make it useful unless folks intend to make a miiverse replacement

The Miiverse Icon isn't like that, it's up there with the friends list and internet browser. There's no getting rid of it...

But you could replace the Icon and the Banner with someone else (Homebrew Launcher for example).
Just created a Banner to test that.


EDIT:

Have to find out how to replace it now.

Just replaced model AND Icon.
Banner is buggy atm because I imported it with normal size * 10... ^^'

I know about it, I'm in the discord for it, but untill were the point where it can easily be steped in place of the previous miiverse I would rather a homebrew launcher
