It will be on the Port Craft GitHub page first (under the "Releases" tab). Along with that I will probably create a new forum thread.Cool!
So where would I get Port Craft when it's available?
Thanks! And yeah, the plan is to make Port Craft share the most code possible with the DS. Although, it has become clear that there's some differences that will have to be made. In particular, floating point lighting looks tons better on a computer and thus the lighting system will differ slightly.Woah, it's cool that this is STILL being worked on and supported
Hmm, it sounds like they got corrupted which is not uncommon for the DS. Can you try running the Windows disk checker util thingy on the USB drive to remove corrupt files? For some reason I can't move on the new version, it keeps taking me back to the pause screen.
I tried Creating a folder called ''textures'', and put the texture packs in there, now there are MORE than two files, with jumbled names and I can't delete it.
Is this what's the cause of my problem?
You copy the .tex files to the folder Mine DS creates on every startup located at something like "data/Mine-DS/textures". However, don't quote me on that. Just launch the game and it will create that folder.Never tried it before, but I'll give it a shot.
When that's done how would I install the texture packs to the game?
I think you just tap anywhere on the touch screen with food in your hand.Ok got it.
Quick question, how do I eat? Or can I eat?
Hey, great game so far : ) Keep on going!
Also, wanted to ask whether you created that website with any website that offers to create a free website (if so, which one?) or you coded it yourself.
Thanks. Once I get texture pack loading support in Port Craft I'll look at creating a starbound texture pack. And there really isn't that much to making your own packs. You just download the following as templates for creating your own: blocks.png, mobs.png, and UI.png. Then follow these instructions for combining the three images into one texture file (the tool really just literally converts them using GRIT and then writes a new binary file that is the three of them combined).Wow, this looks epic! Still need to get a flashcard to play it.
Also, could we have a starbound-inspired texture pack? I think it'd work really well with the 2d graphics. Also, can you make a tutorial on making your own packs?
Perhaps the data folder got renamed or deleted? Make sure the "data/Mine-DS" folder exists with a few files in it. Also check the capitalization of the folderssomething strange happened,
at one point I finally got 4.1 to work and I played it, but the next time I tried to launch it,(about a few weeks later), it brings up the guru meditation error.
outdated software?
or was it me again?
Thanks!Wow, I am impressed. the 0.4.1 release looks great! I always enjoy taking out my good old ds for some classic homebrew! Great work, the dedication is admirable!
TNT functions work awesome! Thanks so much! Thanks!
