Interesting, I just tried it on my NTSC US 2.2U and the Wii game channel graphic didn't load but when I clicked on it, it prompted with a "Initiating system update." click OK. So I turned off my Wii since I didn't want to load 2.2E and brick it.

How did you get Mario Strikers to work??

alright, but you are from Australia and have a PAL Wii correct? can someone with a NTSC 2.2U Wii confirm that updating using the update on this PAL game works? i really think it'd brick my Wii just as the PAL Wiis got bricked by SPM NTSC...

Sigh, it really works. I have NTSC, and he was referring to that anyways. He might have NTSC anyways. And to all those people out there who think it won't work on NTSC tv's like me, it does work. PAL games don't require pal tv's.

So you had 2.2U and updated using Mario Strikers Charged Football PAL!?! What firmware version do you have now? 2.3E?

The update for Mario strikers is only looking for 2.2U/E/J firmware. If you have that you're good to go. When it's done your firmware will still be 2.2
