I keep getting error 84020 and 94020 when trying to play online with Mario Kart.
Just managed to play a few seconds Ghost Data time trial then error 94020 came up?
When trying to connect to WFC i keep getting error 84020?
Any ideas anyone or the same problems?
Thanx

Sorry if seem stupid but if the game is not released in shops till 11th april,
Why would the online servers be up already?
I had that thought too, but i have "played" for a few seconds like i said and when searching for a ghost data play, the system comes up with a selectable competitor. But i guess we will have to wait for the releasedate to be sure.

The servers have been up for a while ... many people have had their originals since then ... journalists, certain others ...

Online play is working for a great many of us.

The current rumour is they are kicking people off the servers ... the other current rumour is the servers still aren't up to full strength yet, and too many people are logging on at once, and getting kicked off cos the servers can't take it yet.

Hope that it's just that... and not something to do with banning or such.

I also have the problem;

Location: Australia
Wii: Pal, with WiiKey installed - Latest firmware (update blocker enabled, not in dev mode)
Wifi Specs: 54Mbps 802.11g router
Current issues: Double channels on Wii, as a result of SSBB.

Could the servers just be flooded? Or, could it be that the game automatically disconnects anyone with an unsuitable connection, as to not hinder the game play of others? Speed / bandwidth being the issue.

Same problem as described above, am able to get into the ghost mode thing for a few moments, before being disconnected. Completely unable to join any games via WFC... it attempts, but am always presented with error 84020. Only ever get 94020 when being disconnected from ghost mode.

Sorry if I sound incomprehensible; but I have a cold, & am quite tired!

My guess is that its not because the servers are overloaded. The only way they could be is if only a few servers are up yet. Because the amount of people that has the game now and are trying to play online is nothing compared to the number of players the day the game hit the stores. Nintendo must have really screwed up if the servers cant handle the people that have the game now.

Could be right Scha. I suggest just wait till this coming Friday (Thursday for the rest of the world) and rev up your engines. Gives us time to practice

there's nothing to charge back because the keys don't cost them money to generate in the first place

Most these crack sites have dead links anymore or the crack don't even work
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
@The Real Jdbye What don't you get? If someone use a stolen creditcard. Then sell said key on G2A. If I the dev sold the game key, I will get the charge back cost. That's how it works, it doesn't matter if I generate 300 keys if 300 of them are bought with stolen credit cards. I never said it was on Steam, but its the dev that gets hit. There is a ton of stories out there if you google it.
