A User over on Discord has said they will try to see about creating a Vita Port at some point next Week. Hopefully this is true.
Thanks so much for that link masterchan777! I got the nro running on my switch! Now I just need to use nro-asset-editor to put the icon/picture on it.NRO asset editor doesn't seem to work for this. Just use NRO2NSP's forwarder.
@seanp2500, I used that switch build, went through the PC compiling instructions again, but in the switch directory (sm64pc-switch). Skipped the last 1 or 2 steps for compiling the pc version. Then switched to Masterchan's instructions. Not sure i can really help much other than that. Good luck!
So has anyone tried this yet? Supposedly it's been ported to the switch from the same code the pc version used. 12mb file size, meant to run perfect. I can't find it, but according to Reddit it's out there, and real.
60 FPS as well! Though the ground pound is kinda buggy, mario floats up and then groundpounds. Besides that it's a very nice version, 60 FPS is very noticable and analog camera is a godsend as well. Makes it feel much more modern.Just realised that Jack has V4 now with the camera mod and black bar fix.
Might have changed the Value for it. When I was searching for Codes, I ran into a Address that dealt with it. Depending on the Value, it either caused Mario to continue going Upwards, or it did a VERY quick Ground Pound (no Delay).60 FPS as well! Though the ground pound is kinda buggy, mario floats up and then groundpounds. Besides that it's a very nice version, 60 FPS is very noticable and analog camera is a godsend as well. Tried the V4 Beta - it's nice although some of the transitions play too quickly. I don't like that the camera has been inverted from the original (The original controls make sense as you are moving the camera around you, that's why they have Lakitu as your camera man)
Also the Wet/Dry world seems to crash repeatably when trying to stand on the platforms at the very top of the map - I'm not sure if it's related to the 60fps, I'll try going back to the V3 to confirm.
Current v4 (beta) has some physics bugs likely due to the 60fps. Probably worth just waiting for the "fixed" version. Or just use v3 or compile yourself if you can't wait. Who knows when the physics bugs will get ironed out.
