I would get advice from the translation team who did Fire Emblem Fates. I'm sure they can lend you whatever tools you need to translate a given rom.

That's too big a step for a proper translation. What we need is either a Japanese to English or a Korean to English translator. Or maybe both. The same applies to the DS game as well.
rocknesskun was interested in translating MapleStory 3DS, he knows two different languages but lacks the proper tools to decrypt a rom and inject translated script. Maybe you two can discuss details with each other so we can get another fan translation going (not asking you to work on this game but to lend advice to those interested in translating games.)

I've asked one of the coders in our group to take a look at the game. The formats are likely different than what we're used to dealing with, so they'll poke around and see what they can do later.
Are you translating the game to english ?? If so that'll be great when you think it's ready I'd love to test it 
luyairis is only giving the tools nessesary for the translation to take place, he never said he was going to translate it himself and considering they just finished that restoration project for Fire Emblem If (which is still ongoing) I wouldnt expect him to continue onto another project so soon already.Are you translating the game to english ?? I could do some editing with the graphics if you need one, but i don't think i could help with translating, i only know my motherlang and english (barely) :/

Alright guys, i hope some of you are still interested in a translation of Maple Story.
Because i just looked into the files and started to mess around a little:
But I'm gonna need some help, because as far as i've seen the help topics and many menu points are pictures and i don't even know how to use Photoshop, nor do i even own it.
So thus i would need someone who is capable of editing images.
It would also be nice if the person knows how to extract and edit those images, because i also don't know how to do it.
Also important, i need some time to work on the translation, because my finals are in the upcoming 2 weeks.
But after that i will be avaivable to translate the game.
It would also be nice to have another translator, or at least some person that i can ask for help in case i don't know how to tanslate something.
Disclaimer:
Japanese is not my mother tongue, and i won't claim that all the translations are 100% correct, but i will try my best to translate it as correct as possible for myself.
I'm assuming that the old translator isn't doing it anymore, please don't hit me if i'm wrong. :c

Well almost everything in the menus are images as far as i've seen by now. So you won't have that little to do. Also i first have to translate all the stuff - which means i have to extract the images myself to see what exactly is inside (though they're named properly).
It's fine, i also have some work to do, before you can start editing the images.
Also you don't have to do it fast, do it at your own pace.
It would be nice to have someone do it for me, because if i would do it, it would be the worst quality ever, because i never worked at pictures. (well i drew a little bit but never on my computer).

Well, from what I've heard from my parents, he had a seizure last night, perhaps an epileptic episode, fucking died, had a near death experience, my dad called the paramedics, they showed up, took him to the hospital, and he woke up covered in tubes, and started complaining.
