Hacking Luma3DS - Noob-proof 3DS Custom Firmware

it basically states .plg files are useless. some problems are that cheats i have are only .plg without having sources to them. Still making 9.1 and lower something to want to stay on.

And at this point in time, I highly doubt the situation will change.

is ntr cfw supposed to work with luma 9.1? I have the latest luma, so instead of replacing the boot.firm, I chose to add the v.9.1 to chain loading. when I opened that, then boot ntr selector, it worked for a few moments, then crashed just as it does on the latest luma. in the past, I don't recall these constant crashes, so I'm not sure what the problem is (i.e. luma, ntr, boot selector, or official firmware version). I have game patching enabled for twilight menu++, so I'm not sure if that's what the problem is or not. will both the latest luma and luma 9.1 rely on the same configuration options? how do you get into a chain loader luma's configuration screen if that is indeed the problem?

Local CFW noob here, booted my 3ds for the first time for a few months and there is now an 11.10 update, was wondering if it's safe to update from 11.9 to 11.10, I'm obviously Luma.

It is safe. Update luma first if not already done, and then firmwareupdate

Hi guys! New here. I recently bought a N3ds and found out it already has luma3ds installed. The system however doesn't say it has a custom firmware. it's at 11.6. I want to make it run roms (.cia probably). Not sure what to do. Could anyone help?

@diaverik Press select+dpad-down+L when in the home menu.
If a menu appears, you have a quite recent version of the CFW installed.

@Wuigi That doesn't work. If I press select and power on start, it brings up the luma menu. It says v6.6-1eb18c17. Not sure what any of menu does.

Try updating the luma cfw by replacing the boot.firm file nether root of your Sd card and follow 3ds.guide to update a9lh to boot9strap https://3ds.hacks.guide/

User is on A9LH. needs 7.0.5 and then follow the updating from a9lh to b9s from the guide and then the finalizing steps to get the hb apps and the such back to their home menu.

Every time I try to download Cfw and go the dsiware to copy the haxxx file to system memory it always restart and crash say a error has occurred

No. Where else should luma save the config.bin or start payloads?

That's what I was asking. Like making a modified version use the /luma2 folder or something to store those files.
