So I downloaded Mario Maker, works good without update. But when I install the 1.42 update, it black screens whenever I return from Coursebot or select Create a course. Any ideas why?

Why Loadiine GX 0.3 kicks me back to Mii Maker every time I want to load every game? Heck, I even downloaded the update to make it work! and no dice!!!

Same for me too, i'm wondering if it's anything to do with extra save, though i haven't tested it.. I'm on 5.5.0E

No, the default one. Mii Maker

But still, with that, sends me also to mii maker
Oh. Well, since you did attempt the Smash launch, the reason that one boots you to Mii Maker is cause Loadiine's game going to launch through the boot of Smash Bros. Gotta start the physical copy to get that one running.

@Cyan Mind explaining without going too much technical, as why some games only work in SSB mode and not in mii maker?
I'm trying to understand why Mario Kart 8 latest update doesn't work in MiiMaker but it does in SSB
Thanks
I don't really know why. I don't know if dimok or other devs know why either.
I tried all the update versions one by one, and only the v0 is working fine with miimaker. it's probably related to something added or changed since the first update (different snd library ? something like that)
Maybe trying with other mode (karaoke, art) could tell more about this issue.

Noob question : I want to try Super Smash Bros mode.
I choose it in loadiine with the original disc inserted in the Wii U.
I "launch" the game and... it quits to Mii Maker.
What am I supposed to do after this ?
Why Loadiine GX 0.3 kicks me back to Mii Maker every time I want to load every game?
Maybe both your issues are related.
The auto-boot game feature is not always working. It was an option on earlier loadiine versions (before the GUI version).
on GX2 version it's always ON but it can fail to autoboot. When it happens it just "continue loading miimaker" (loadiine is inserted at the start of miimaker, when it exits miimaker is loaded)
If it happens, exits Miimaker and launch SSB disc.

It seems to be a new rising issue, or maybe because there is now more users since 5.5.x exploit so there's more reports about it.

The games... loaded.

The temporal solution was to indicate specifically where to boot. But when it booted the game (minecraft) it froze on the intro logo screen

Minecraft doesn't like Mii Maker Mode, if that's what you're using. I'm currently playing it now, which is booted through Smash.

What will happen if I update my 5.5.1. Wii U with loadiine when new software update arives? Will it just block my homebrew or brick console?

Finally fixed it. Can you confirm that its now scaled in the newest nightly?
I also added a setting to disable/enable the HID controllers and updated to use the newest controller_patcher (for hid controller, hopefully fixes some issues)

Is the game booting afterwards if you start ssbu? For some people the autoboot method is not working. Try to boot SSBU once, then the autoboot from loadiine should work

You could also take a look into the logs using the udp_reader (https://github.com/dimok789/loadiine_gx2/tree/master/udp_debug_reader) and setting the right IP in the config file (DebugLoggerIP=) on your SD Card

How can I see the menu? I have a map "updates" but when I press A on a game it autoboots and I can't select an update

Loadline doesnt exist anything on the console, so if 5.5.2 or w/e blocks loadiine and you update your console, when you just won't be able to use loadiine

The 'hax' just install different files into mii maker that let's you run loadiine and those files are temporarry, which is why you need to rerun the hax if you reboot your console

So atm if you keep your internet setings by default, yes you can do eshop and access online with your retail games.

But WIIU update itself without your intervention, so if nintendo release a 5.5.2 and you didn't block the Nintendo IP you can say bye bye to loadiine at next update

they bought their own game on a key site and checked where they came from and it turned out they were review copies he had given out by email to someone

    *all* of them
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
no storefront I'm aware of (at least on pc) requires the devs to pay for the keys they generate
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
they don't lose money doing this, even if someone decide to chargeback
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so that seems to be a pretty common thing, i kinda blame the dev for that one though as they were giving out like 5 keys to someone just because they asked for multiple copies for review for whatever reason and there were multiple people doing this. he should've seen the red flags
