Well, looks like we've got another one of those "purchase free homebrew from us!" sites. While browsing for some gaming news, I stumbled upon an advertisement for a site advertising the program "HomebreWare". Apparently, this company is offering a way for users to "Play Homebrew, Import, and Backup games without voiding your warranty!"....for only twenty-nine bucks. And that's on a "40% discount!"

Here's exactly how the site's pitch goes:

"HomebreWare is software that enables your Nintendo Wii Console to run Homebrew Applications, more over it enables the ability of your Wii Console to play DVD movies, and finally run Import and Backup Games.

Certain homebrew applications called emulators which come bundled with HomebreWare will give you an opportunity to play classic games from retro consoles such as N64, SNES, Sega Genesis and many more.

The most extraordinary feature that comes from HomebreWare is the ability to play backup and imported games without mod chip or anything else that might void your warranty."

Of course, they don't mention the fact that you'll need Twilight Princess, or even how the emulators will run at a fraction of normal speed...I'm also wondering who's backup loader they've ripped off...

Here, you can check out this AMAZAZAZING OFFUR for yourself:
http://www.homebreware.com/

(Notice how it says "Compatible with 3.4". Possibly referring to a downgrade method?

Pathetic, no?

So, be sure to mentally blacklist this site, and try to keep teh n00bs from falling in for it (unless of course you don't like a specific one, then it's funny

In that thread, on the first page, a user also links to a video that was uploaded onto YouTube. This video is the exact same video that Bushing made about the Homebrew Channel. If you have a YouTube account, you might consider flagging the video due to that.

Also, the download links were posted in that thread, and indeed, all it is is the Twilight Hack, Homebrew Channel, etc. However, the owner of the site seems to have moved them to a different page.

An update on this topic, GBATemp-ers did wind up impacting his sales and scared away some of his affiliates, so now he is basically going to rewrite and potentially re-brand the product… He states he didn't realise he didn't own the products he supplied, lol

He started a new topic;

I personally think everyone should keep it up.

Here are two of their Digg links;

Can you people stop posting this already? Old news is tedious.
