from my wii time i remember you could dump the NAND memory via a homebrew tool and if you would just save that .bin file, your wii could be recovered always, even with a full brick

i was wondering if there's any way to do the same thing with the psp?

Yeah, there is a way, but some newer PSP can't be recovered even after a semi-brick, I think.

But I forgot the program... Sorry!

EDIT: I think you can also do it with a Pandora Battery.

on psp the can use Pandora
you can make a nand back-up (that is ONLY for the psp that make it)

with Pandora, a nand back-up really not needed
as using Pandora reFlashes the PSP

the nand back-up is good for the id keys the is different for EACH PSP

At least tell us what PSP you have and which firmware. Is it already hacked? Do you perhaps have a Pandora battery?

Use Nandtool and make a full nand dump, and then a full IDStorage Key dump. That's basically what you're asking for.

got a tutorial for that or so, I don't understand how to do that....
Download that file linked to by xist, plug your PSP into your computer, copy the "nandTool_040NEO" folder (inside the PSP -> GAME folder of the zip file) into your PSP's own /PSP/GAME folder.
Unplug your PSP, find Nandtool under Games, run it. Select "Dump from NAND" to make a full NAND dump, and "Other Tools -> Dump idstore keys" to make the IDStorage Keys dump.

Here is a more complete tutorial, which also explains how to use Nandtool with a pandora battery (using a magic memstick), and how to restore these backups if you ever need to: http://pinoypsp.com/index.php?topic=188548.0;wap2

If you do brick, it's easier just to boot up Hellcat's Recovery Flasher with your Pandora battery and MMS and reinstall CFW, rather than mess with NAND backups.

Although if you somehow corrupt your keys you're totally screwed unless you use DCv8 and then you'd lose Magic Gate for good.

Nand backups are less essential than they were but still handy, Key backups are just a nice unique safety measure.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
