I've tried using the ipod one, but it keeps freezing on me after a couple of songs, so is there any alt to this?

I guess a better GUI. I kinda don't like moonshell's way of playing music.

In fact, I was trying to get moonshell 2 to work as I thought it would look better, but the one I got from the sticky doesn't work for me.

Well i use the lmpg alpha one (ipod) it works fine, moonshell, yes it sucks for music cause when we close it then the sound doesnt come.. hmm i suggest you use http://filetrip.net/f26253-NDS-Music-Player-9-15-11.html

the music plays when you have the ds shut if you have headphones in(which you probably should if you are listening to music on your ds)

That's for .sseq files, not .mp3 files.

I tried the iPod one and it just fails to load for me. I'd love an MP3 player on my AK2i, but I don't like Moonshell because it's really picky on my DS.

In the Moonshell GUI settings, there's an option for leaving the speakers on with the lid closed.

start-> GUI/Audio Settings-> Global (at the bottom of the list, de-select the "When the lid is shut..." option.
