anyway i've been stuck on 4.4.0-10 for quite some time now since they don't have an update for R4i Gold Plus, i was wondering if there's still support for it or is it time to buy a new flashcart

*Ugh* The email response is going to say:
"We are working on it and will post on website any updates. Please keep patience."

I would know, I've written them twice in the last three months.

    I got an answer yesterday:
    Dear Customer,
Sorry that we are still trying hard to deal with it. Please wait patiently. And we will try to release it soon. Really sorry for bringing inconvenience to you.

This is exactly why I bought a Supercard DSTWO. There's very little chance of the Supercard Team screwing me over on updates compared to the r4i Gold Plus Team. I'm gonna give my r4i Gold Plus to my little brother who has a DSi XL, will work perfectly for him.

why is there very little chance?
next update, they might as well tell you that their old cards cant get around the newest anticart update so you need to upgrade to a new dstwo as well.

    I completely agree with you.
No flashcarts can promise the users that they will never be blocked by Nintendo.

Because they have more of a reputation than the r4i Gold Plus team, is what I was getting at. I'd rather put my trust in a team that has been around for years and supported their products and customers continually than a team for a really poop card that hasn't updated their firmware and kernel for months. And I seriously doubt it wont be able to get around antipiracy measures.

But to each his own. I'm happy to have a better card.

Yeah, I had an r4i Gold Plus as my flashcart for a while now, but I gave up a few days ago and ordered a DSTWO. They're probably not going to update anymore.

Simple pattern recognition. The DSTwo has NEVER needed a new model.

On the other hand, even the R4i Gold has at least three major model breaks already, needing to host four separate updates on their site... not to mention the other R4 carts that have like 10 models out.

Considering that the Supercard team has released updates for the DSTwo within almost 24 hours and often not even needing to change the icon (they've had Alex Rider for like 6 updates), it's clear that the DSTwo's internal updates and ability are better than the other carts.

:grog: Now updated to v2.0!! Confirmed working here, had to reinstall the latest kernel though.

(edit) no more system updates for me until I know my card has an update!

Wow, I thought they gave up; I stand corrected. Now when are they going to update the f'in kernel that's 3+ months old?

Okay, I was NOT expecting that. Still, it's likely it'll die in one of the coming updates considering it took them this long to update.

When they figure out how to take somebody else's loader updates and-

Oh, looks like somebody already covered that.

The update worked for me, when I asked for opinions on this card, I was told to get the r4i 3DS Gold. I decided to try them both out, it looks like it is +1 for the gold plus and 0 for the gold.... So far....
