Not unless you made a nand backup sometime before on a lower firmware.
Even then you would need to solder wires to your motherboard to flash the old nand image back (downgrade).
A new arm9 exploit would make this possible without the modding, but we're a good while away from that possibility.

Hi guys. Wasn't sure where to ask so I hope this is the right place.
I'm planning on getting the new 3DS and using homebrew on it with oothax (assuming the new 3ds still has 9.9 fw). I currently have a o3ds with ironhax/tubehax and a oot cart. Can I install the oothax in my o3ds but configure it to run in the new 3ds?

Is there some thread that discusses Nintendo 3DS updates? If there isn't, there should be. That people can have a place to check whether or not TubeHax/IronHax will continue to work on the updates.
Every time an update pops out a thread for it it's created but there's no one thread that contains all of the updates.
yay ok. Uhh i really doubt that a new fw won't be released before the 25th though. I'd love to be able to system transfer all my homebrew stuff and streetpass to that new 3ds. but i guess we can only wait and see what happens.

"boot.3dsx" launched for NH1.1 definitelly not works with any other recent hax (NH2.x/TH/IH). But, on the other hand, latest "boot.3dsx" should work well on NH1.1.

@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one -

I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version

I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it! -

I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
