Apple Iphone not responding!!!

Ok so i jailbroke my ipod touch and my brother thought it was cool so he wanted me to do his iphone. So i tried to use red snow to jailbreak his iphone but it would get stuck on waiting for reboot and now its completely not responding and my computer doesnt pick it up and neither does itunes... i also used the super dfu thing and the tethered thing cause i didnt know what was wrong

please help me

did you try holding the sleep and home button at the same time? Also check if you got the right firmware for the jailbreak. The reboot stuck usually occurs if you got the wrong firmware.

ok i finally got it to turn back on but is there a general amount of time i should wait on the rebooting or do i just need more patiance so right now im gonna try 3gs instead of using 3g right now

Get it to 4.2.1 via iTunes, and Greenpois0n jailbreak it. Don't waste your time with redsn0w, it's tethered.
