Hacking IOS236 installer driving me nuts

I try to hack a 4.3e Wii and when i want to install ios236 it always stack dumps on me...

No GC memory cards inserted, no GC controllers connected.

I have tried on and offline, waiting 30 seconds, have all wads on sd but stackdump....

WTF

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have an internetconnection set-up?

try waiting for longer than 30 seconds, and online should work near 100% of the time!

yeah, using modmii and v4 of ios236 installer.

HBC 1.0.8 IOS58 v24.32

I dunno what to tell u, it should be working dude. Set up an internet connection, then unplug the wii for 5 minutes, start up the HBC, wait for the network to initalize (or wait 60 seconds) then start the app

some people have more trouble getting this to work than others for some reason. Just keep trying until it works, its not risky.

If in the end u can't get it to work, it shouldn't be long until the underlying problem is addressed in either the HBC or the libogc-->app

If for some reason the IOS236 installer does not work, there are other options. For example, you can use R2D2's mod of the Trucha Bug Restorer that uses AHB_PROT. There is also the newest version of MMM that will allow you to install a patched IOS36 to slot 236.

Have you tested any of these alternatives, and if so, do they result in a code dump?

If one of these ahbprot apps (ie. IOS236 Installer) consistently give errors, all similar apps should also cause errors (ie. MMM, TBR Mod, etc.)... but it doesn't hurt to try (as long as u are careful to avoid messing with the SM or SM IOS)

Don't u need HBC 1.0.8 on IOS58 + ABHPORT (Whatever it's called) 1st and then use the IOS236 Installer? Cause I had the same prob as G0dLiKe, so out of the blue I used DOP-Mii WiiBrew Edition 2 install the IOS58 + ABHPORT patch then ran the IOS236 v4 Installer and it worked 100%!
