I have just come across this cheat device, called I-CHEAT for the Nintendo DS/Lite, but I cant seem to find any info about it and its website is dead.

I am trying to figure out what cheat code engine it is, if its using Action Replay, Xploder format?

Does anyone here know of it and what format it uses if I need to add more codes myself after making them I'd need to know what format they'd need to be to work on it.

ok my cheat cart device has arrived today so I have had a little look at its codes and even when I have tried to google or check over at gamehacking.org....... I still have no idea what format this thing uses.

I got it to assist my son playing Pokémon games, which it has some codes for Pearl/Diamond but nothing for Platinum so its very confusing which code types I should test, also this device when adding a new game default requires an Enable Code which was common back then.

Problem is, I cant find any (M) or Enabler Codes for Pokémon Platinum (UK) and I have no idea what code format this device is compatible with.

But from what I gather, this device must have been like a one off third party cheat cart made by GAME.co.uk as it has its logo on the main screen as it loads and its url www.i-cheat.co.uk is dead and almost impossible to find anything about it on google (without my MRS getting the wrong impression).

here is an example for SUPER MARIO 64 DS

I have noticed that by default when I insert a game card (Pokemon Platinum Version) into the i-CHEAT cartridge then into my console and as it doesn't contain any cheats for this game (which is why I am trying to figure out what cheat engine its using), when I go to add New Game, enter the Game Name, then hit OK.

After this is then takes you to another screen where you're to input the game's Enabler Code (or Master Code as others may know it as), this code is generally required in order for a game/codes to work.
Maybe it's me with my old age and lacking use on the NDS/3DS scene, I mean the last time I had a NDS was back when Datel first released its Action Replay cheat cartridge and it also released a Trainer Tool Kit so you could find your own cheat codes.

I used to also love its MAX Memory adapter that you inserted into the NDS' GBA port, pretty sure back then there was a little tinker you could do that would enable you to boot NDS ROMs from the MAX Memory adapter when its "supposedly" use was to watch movies LOL..... sure.

Anyway this is how long ago its been since I have touched the NDS but this is NEW to me that ANY Cheat Device would automatically input the games Enabler Code (Master Code)....... But this is where I have sort of taken one step forward into figuring out what format this i-CHEAT device is, so I can start adding and creating my own cheat codes.

When I came across CBDSCrypt I then created a ROM DUMP of my Pokemon Platinum (yes my physical ROM dump to ensure its the correct version).

And when I drag/drop my ROM into CBDSCrypt and hit (m) to have it scan and create the Enabler Code (Master Code) it gave me these results:
Code:
80005153 43505545

Para's ARM9 IH hook :
F2101D84 223FC000

Para's ARM7 IH hook :
F23807F0 223FC000

ARDS's ARM7 Auto hook :
F2380A84 023FC000
And when I click Encrypt, then the following codes change to:
Code:
00005153 43505545

Para's ARM9 IH hook :
98596FE6 4C268193

Para's ARM7 IH hook :
F31EA7EB BFA3FC92

ARDS's ARM7 Auto hook :
4B57292F 0AAF1B71

Which 00005153 43505545 is the same code that is already detected when Adding the game as NEW.

But that might be fine and handy that this i-CHEAT Cartridge is possibly capable of knowing and providing the addresses required for its Enabler/Master code.

But I am still left ??? as the the actual format this device is actually using, which I will need to know if I am then going to be able to manually add different cheat codes from other sources or when creating my own cheat codes.

I have tried the likes of Action Replay for their website, I have tried others from GameHacking.org - but they don't look anything like the same.
So I try the same (sorry my head has just gone completely dizzy and forgotten what exactly I was going and saying).

I make a ROM dump of my Super Mario 64 DS and drag/drop it into CBDSCrypt and click (m) and it gives me
Code:
8000477C 41534D50

Para's ARM7 IH hook :
F23805F4 22000000

ARDS's ARM7 Auto hook :
F2380864 02000000

Which again if I click Encrypt, it then gives me:
Code:
0000477C 41534D50

Para's ARM7 IH hook :
93E38C52 12E35D28

ARDS's ARM7 Auto hook :
35DE1309 9CB58139

Which 0000477C 41534D50 is the Enabler Code for Super Mario 64 DS that is already saved onto the cheat cart.

As for the other cheats, I have no idea again what they are.

If I take
Code:
Infinite Health
303CF7D9 684DEE91

And paste it into CBDSCrypt, if I click Decrypt it gives me:
Code:
Infinite Health
D0007B4C 8C0EEEA8

If I click Encrypt it gives me:
Code:
Infinite Health
2B9E0814 EC803AD9

Which neither of these "Infinite Health" addresses look correct, according to GameHacking.org we have the following for Infinite Health addresses

And I am very sorry i seem to be aving problems forgetting what I am trying to say as I type and getting very confused so I will try come back later and see what sense I make of this first.
