If You don't have internet connection defined under wii network menu then some homebrew might crash.
Confirmed examples:

I managed to install priiloader 0.5 3 times perfectly (with a wifi internet connection set in internet settings). I don´t have a boot2 bootmii Wii, so... If I weren´t added a internet config... it could have black bricked my wii...

I installed my Priiloader 0.5 (rev99) without a problem, I only had BootMii as IOS. It works perfectly for me.

If I understand correctly the problem is in latest HBC, not Priiloader, but yes, it would be nice to have this fixed.

Yes, almost sure HBC needs to be fixed first.
