It's hard to pull off Portal on the PC. No way for the DS. The portals would have to just be solid blue and orange. On the PC, the way they made the portals is by actually re-rendering a whole second room that you view through the portal. And a bunch more trickery that I don't remember.

Heh, think realistically. Best they can do for DS would be the 2D 'tutorial pictures' for portal as a game.

Maybe we will be lucky enough to get Echochrome on DS.

At the least, if you're not running MPH engine or alike, you could run the flash version of portal (google it).

That alone on the DS would still be worth the buy.

Portal flash game works. Sure its not as much fun but its doable just not in 3D perhaps.

is that that game where you make portals by clicking places, and the red one leads to the blue one and vice versa, so you have to make portal appear above pillars then one underyou so you fall onto the pillar? thats a fun game

I just saw the review for Orange Box on Gametrailers!

It looks insanely fantastic.
Although it looks difficult to have that kind of graphics on the DS, it'll be a nice addition to the DS puzzle library.

Hopefully, there won't be any ties to graphics-heavy consoles.
It's hitting the PS3 this December, so I doubt it'll be on the DS.

Portal flash game works. Sure its not as much fun but its doable just not in 3D perhaps.

Beat me to it. Just sharpen the graphics on the flash version and hey presto, we have a DS game (touch the screen to place the portals etc etc)

Low-res textures + low-poly - physic engine = Portal DS. I think it can be done. Like someone mentioned eariler, if the portal was just a solid blue or red it would work.

Have you played Portal with the commentary on? It explains the physics engine. And in this game, the physics engine is everything
