Hardware How to safely change sd card?

I just got cfw on my new 3ds a few days ago. Of course I was having fun downloading things blah blah I ran out of space : /. I want to get a 64 gb mirco sd card but what am I suppose to do? Like what do I do to get the files on the other sd card. Idk you know what I mean!

1) Format your new SD card to Fat32 using a third party software (eg SD card tool) because windows won't let you format it.
2) Copy old SD card contents to pc
3) Copy old SD card contents from pc to new SD card
