Hacking Question How not to lose my SX OS license?

I have SX OS not pro, I seen some ppl lost their license by doing some manipulations may include: updating fm, using choixdujour, messing with Sd card ( format ..etc) , resetting the switch. So I wonder how can I make sure to keep my SX license, would having a backup of my SD card be enough ( with SX files and all)

I heard some people lost their license from using Incognito. However that's the only case I've heard of.
FWIW I used Incognito myself with no problem, my license worked just fine afterwards for months, but i don't know for sure that it would let me use the license_request.dat on the site again if I deleted the license file or it got corrupted, so keep your license.dat safe.

It’s quite easy just copy & paste your license.dat file somewhere safe on a laptop and usb stick and keep it safe so then all you have to do is copy it back on your sd card

Yeah just make multiple copies of it. I have mine save in my pc, external hd, and phone.

Yes save it to your preferred location, just remember to put it in a folder with your switch serial number on it so you know it only belongs to that switch.

Also if you do lose your license.dat file you can get it back again by using your license request & licence code so I suggest keep both of those safe as well.
