I'm paying 28 Euros ($35USD) a month for a 10mbit down & 1 mbit up ADSL2 connection.

I download at 1030 KB/s max and upload 100+ KB/s

I recently had "unlimited" 2MBit (which actually ran at 2Mbit) NTL/Telewest/Virgin for £20 (all inclusive) with reasonable TV included.

Now I am struggling with this BT homehub nonsense (apparently they need 10 days to "test" so I am stuck with a 512Kbit connection from the original 2Mbit (more like 1.5) I had. I forget how much is being paid but it is not nice as line rental has to be included as well.

Well, I'm here in Japan and the internet provider I have, has a deal with the building. I pay 1000 yen (Roughly US$10) a month for what seems to be a 50Mbit line... but on a consistent basis I'm able to download around 30-35Mbit/s though I seem to be only able to upload at 7Mbit/s tops... (no cap on anything - unlimited!) Cheap I know, slow, I know,

(kidding) but I do want to get the 100Mbit package, but it'll cost me around 4500 yen per month.

No other choices, only got one ISP offering 4 packages (only different is data allowence between 6pm and midnight).
