how do you format an entire computer with windows 7 to install xp?

it's an acer aspire one d225e and i just got this laptop so i'm fine with formatting it.

why the hell would u want to install windows xp for?
may as well go put windows for workgroups 3.11 on it

Easy.
Pop in Windows XP CD.
Boot CD.
Wait.
Format HDD.
Install Windows XP.
Wait.
Type in information such as name and stuff.
Wait more.
Type more stuff.
Wait more.
Done.

PS
Find drivers that WORK with XP before going to XP.
