Hey guys, I just started thinking about how limited our options are for programming on the DS, being that it's really only between compiling C/C++ and Lua. And...you know, assembly.

So, making assumptions on the 3DS's specs wherever you want, presumably around GC, what do you think it will be able to handle? Java? Python? Ruby?

What point is there to speculating on development platforms for a device which we have no relevant knowledge of?

Do you expect people to jump in and name random languages based on nothing?

I don't think I'll care for homebrew assuming we get some sort of virtual console and the games that I want. There's a chance that we don't get that at all but I don't see why not.
