Homebrew Button leads to a blank screen (Kartminer7)

So I am trying to see if I can mod a 3DS XL (Old Version), and I followed these steps:
Truth is I followed the part with Mario Kart 7's streetpass, restarted the console, and pressed the HOME settings button which leads me into a blank screen. I have everything setup. What should I do?
